Thelma McGuffy was a successful weekly comic strip that ran for nearly six years in a regional senior citizen newspaper. Of course, she was in black & white then, not in color as you see her here. She had a full ensemble of friends who were completely off their rockers. But, Thelma as the stable level headed one maintaining her lady-like deportment at all times.

I did a two year stint with Canada's leading Christian newspaper, Christian Week. The gags ideas were often a give and take between the editors and myself. Given that the editors were intimate with the topic at hand, I frequently was given the general visual idea and gag line. I preferred this approach as deadlines were often yesterday, so to speak.
All cartoons were scanned by me in my studio then built (to spec) in Photoshop into 300 ppi to-size gray scale PDFs which were emailed for immediate electronic paste-up.

Said "Right now...I'm creating a pocket brochure outlining my caricaturing services. Business cards are nice, but there are potential clients who do not have the time, or patience, to type in my website PartyArtist.ca. My view is that print is not dead...and still alive for many potential customers. I'm just saying."

About Me:
I'm a comic strip artist, caricaturist, and digital illustrator. I free-lance as an event caricature artist and create made-to-order caricatures from emailed digital photographs. These may be found on my Party Artist website.
I create a weekly comic strip which was an enjoyable six year run in a regional seniors' newspaper until the publisher unfortunately past away at an early age.
I also collaborate with writers to develop children's books and related electronic media publications.
