We are a Strong People

We are a strong people
Coming from strong women
Women who guide and teach
Love and nurture
We are a strong people
We taught the world the true
Meaning of love is to forgive
And peace comes from giving
Even if what we have is taken
We are a strong people
Our spirits forever dancing in the sunset
And becoming one with the night
We are a strong people
Never believing in owning land
Never believing in owning nature
We help it not only live
But thrive
A people so strong
That even after death
We live
We thrive with colors so vibrant
So bright
That many times
We are mistaken
To be the giving sun
And the loving moon

The night covers me like a warm blanket
My wings feel free of the weight of my back
The moon’s light silently calls me
Silently whispers things to me
Giving my mind a temporary rest
I feel the moon goddess dance all around me
Gently weaving my soul and spirit
Into the complexity and simplicity
Of the nature that surrounds me

About Me:
I sing in a band I created. I have recorded my own demo CD with a producer. I have vocal training from Saint Louis Community College and I have created my own girl group. I sing a wide variety of genres: pop, r&b, country, Christian/Gospel, rock, blues, and jazz. My sound is mellow, unique, bright, soft but fierce like a quiet storm type of voice, smooth and sometimes a little breathy depending upon what the song calls for. I have a unique voice and I try to tell a story with my voice and make the person feel what I'm feeling when I sing or talk. I write as a hobby science fiction, children, romantic, dramatic, and spiritual books and poetry. Also in my spare time I write articles, blog, write reports, and research topics.
