I'm currently revamping my personal brand with new minicards and Luxe cards from MOO.com, as well as polishing a website that I hope launch very soon.

This a flyer design I did for a live music event at my favorite coffee shop of all time. Pretty simple; not much to dissect here.

This was a fun and interesting project, not necessarily because of the design, but for the substrate. It was the first project I've done where the end result is ink on something besides paper. And, of course, a guitar pick has a far more practical use than the things I'm usually working on. I did up a very minimalist logo using typography, and wanted to avoid the Clayton name and the grade of the pick, but Clayton was a sponsor of theirs so nothing could be done to avoid that.

I travel a lot. Traveling is expensive. But I still need to eat. Beans and rice are not expensive. Problem solved. No matter where I go, they're always there for me, like two good friends. Here's a T-shirt design celebrating our fellowship.

Some people seem to cope without it, claiming such nonsense as "it's bad for you." Yeah, next you'll be telling me that the occasional cig is bad for me too. But for us mere mortals, we need it to survive! Here's a simple T-shirt design featuring the most widely used psychoactive drug in the world, wonderful caffeine.

This is my personal blog on travel and living a minimalist lifestyle. I write about the journey, the destination, and everything in between. Naturally, a parallel dialogue that runs beside the storytelling is how I'm changed by these experiences, and I try to offer advice to others based on the things that I've learned from them. More often, I find the primary goal of Spartan Wander is to help myself and others find balance between living a life full of adventure abroad and life in general.

This project was for a student contest with the aim of creating some collateral for graphicCOMMcentral. I worked on this postcard, but coursework got in the way. Eventually I finished it for my own personal satisfaction, even though the deadline for entries had passed. One of the contest categories was focused around promoting the green printing portion of GRC's site. Being a student at Appalachian State University, I only had to walk outside for a coffee to find inspiration in the mountains. Think beyond your office and profit gain. There's stuff out there worth saving. Making print production more sustainable is one way we can do that.

This is a simple T-shirt design inspired by a noticeable increase in lazy activist activities, more commonly known as slacktivism. Slacktivism is an activity that little to no effort has to be expended under the guise of benefitting some type of cause. A good example are Facebook groups devoted to boycotting gas for a particular day. This is slacktivism because no effort is needed to be a part of the cause and does not harm the oil giants in any way. True activism would require a noticeable lifestyle change, such as using public transportation, a bike, or walking, instead of driving a car/motorcycle.

This is an example of album artwork that I worked on for artist Through a Different Lens. He recorded this album specifically as an effort to raise money for children in Manipur, India, one of the poorest states in the country, and I decided to donate my skills to the cause.

About Me:
A few years ago, I decided I was carrying a lot of weight that I didn't need to be carrying. So I dropped everything that wasn't essential. Now I live a minimalist lifestyle without the frills. I'm mobile enough to go wherever I please, and I write about it. Graphic design is another passion of mine, and yet another thing I can do from anywhere in the world. My design style is as simple as the life I try to lead. I strive to achieve an organic marrige of efficiency and crisp simplicity in all of my design projects. My goal is to communicate the client's desired message with less gaudy flair and more modest eloquence. If you are interested in a professional relationship, or traveling and living lightly, this is a great place to start!
