About Me:
I grew up in a small town in North Carolina. I started drawing at a young age, from the first time I was able to hold a pencil. I didn't pick up painting until my late teens. And have been at it ever since. I'm completely self-taught. Oil is my medium of choice because it seems traditional, the stuff the masters used. I also love the smell. When at a gallery, admiring the art, I'm drawn to the oil painting and I have a bad habit of touching the art, like I'm taking some of it with me.
At 33, I feel like I'm producing some of the most interesting stuff I've ever done. My style continues to change as I learn new techniques and perfect old ones.
