This new illustration is based on my nostalgia and love for the awesome show Aahh!! Real Monsters when trying to think of things that would mash well with it I Immediately flashed to the old Universal Movie Monster posters that had that awesomely old fashioned painted look to them. I had to think a back abit to create an illustration for this show because I haven’t thought about this show in awhile. My inspiration for this piece came from the Carl Laemmle movie of The Invisible Man I tried to copy the lightening, shadows, as well as text and text effects the poster has and eventhough it isn’t an exact copy I believe that I have achieved the right feeling of a 50’s movie.

This newest illustration is based on the recently posted podcast episode of Comedy Bang Bang. With this illustration I was inspired by looking at all the promotional material that was released for Ramsay’s show Hell’s Kitchen, since in the episode we were told he is Beelzebub, I chose to depict Gordon as Satan himself. To add a more realistic feel I used the same kind of title treatment and pitchfork that Hell’s Kitchen used, also chose to go with the Cardboard cutout fire rather than try to create realistic fire because the other promotional material used Cardboard cutout fire. With these ephemeral elements such as the fake looking fire, title treatment, and raw and severe color scheme I was creating a realistic image of what I believe the cover image for Gordon’s podcast show PODCRAP would look like.

This newest Illustration is based the UK Top Gears “The Stig”. With this illustration I challenged myself to the nth degree and really tried hard to ink and color a car semi realistically as well and try to incorporate those awesomely beautful background of the opening of Top Gear. There was a little play here and there I tried hard to color the background realistically but found that it was clashing with the foreground and decided to go with a more minimalistic approach while still being detailed.

The idea this Illustration is based upon is ”What if …? Jack Kirby created Pokemon”. this is one of my more illustrator heavy pieces. Pokemon/Marvel fans will notice that Fing Fang Foom is the evolved form of Magickarp, and Charizard is Devil Dinosaur. Primarily this cover is parody of a Devil Dinosaur Comic, you’ll also notice that I recreated the benday dots of the old comics.

My new illustration is a mashup of Mario and the movie poster of Little Miss Sunshine. I had a lot of fun creating this illustration while adhering to the style, format and composition of the Little Miss Sunshine poster. What I added to this poster that diverges from the Miss Sunshine Poster is the figure of Bowser in the background When I was drawing this piece If I wanted to add Bowser chasing Mario and the gang they would be too small to ink let alone color really so I decided to let him occupy the absence of space behind the characters running so as to balance the illustration. What is similar though is the placement of the logo and text as well as the characters running but what I decided was to use the floating billboards seen in so many mario games as a place to tact on the lettering which is I also co-opted from Super Mario Land, use toadstools car from the terrible Super Mario Party 8, and also add the Nintendo logo to make it seem like either an official game or poster.

About Me:
I am a freelance Cartoonist who has graduated from The School of Visual Arts (SVA). I have been taught by comics professionals such as Nick Bertozzi, Becky Cloonan, Jason LIttle, Matt Madden and Jessica Abel . At SVA I gained an education that helped me refine my storytelling techniques, Inking, and digital coloring. I have the ability to tell a story from beginning to end from thumbnails to the finished stage. While at SVA I learned the importance of respecting an encroaching deadline with being a full time student and handling 3 internships at the same time, as a result I am a efficient and fast paced artist. I am an hard and dedicated worker who acts professionally and once I put my mind to something I finish it.
