This is Sony Picture's Imageworks model I worked on for the film What Lies Beneath. The model was delivered to us as a point cloud data scan from a Stan Winston life size physical model. I labored over the numerous nurbs patches to create an organic rotting like surface. Let me tell you a story. The real life physical and very scary model was brought into my office for me to use as reference. The physical model looked so real in everyway that one night the cleaning lady came in to clean out the waste baskets and freaked out. It was reported that she went screaming down the hall all the way to the other side of the building where the animators finally caught up to her eventually calming her down.

This is a test I did for Stuart Little's concept car. The design was rejected because it could contain too many small parts children could swallow if used as a toy. A more robust design was chosen.

This is a painting I did using photoshop 6 testing the abilities of the software. Earlier versions of software is commonly used in the Film industry simply because it works. Down time is for the tinkerer and a tremendous amount of time can be waisted simply trying to make the latest an greatest version of software to work.

This is the final look for Sony Pictures Imageworks Stuart Little. The model is entirely made using nurbs in Maya. I worked on numerous Face shapes and some body parts. I believe this project was made more complicated than it needed to be.

These two versions of a mouse I modeled, textured, and applied fur as a test to prove the abilities of 3D STUDIO Max 5 for the film Stuart Little. It was a labor of love and gained the respect of other departments in the company. However, Later I ended up working on Stuart Little using MAYA running in Linux in a different department. Maya was decided on because it ran on Linux. Windows flaky reliability to handle a project that size made us loose 3DS MAX because 3DS MAX only ran on windows.

Hello,
I have worked for almost 20 years primarily as a 3D Computer modeler/ texturer in the film industry collecting 12 major motion picture credits. I also have an extensive photography portfolio not shown here of Hawaii weddings while living in Hawaii. The following is a list of my skills and related work experience.
