An addition to my ever growing file of photos. I do not use clip art or purchased illustration in my work. I create the images myself. You will never see one of the images for your project repeated in any other. It can cause a nasty little fu-pa. I have seen one design group design a book in which a purchased image was used. Little did they know that the cover, being created by another company would just happen (with all the hundreds of thousands of images out there, would use the same one for something entirely different. And it was unfortunate that it was too late to change as it had already gone to press.

This illusion was created in an 8'X10" glossy to demonstrate (educational booklet) how the mind perceives things. The point was that the individual, would not immediately see the photo as an object reflected in the black shine of the table but would fist see the object and reflection as one.

Many people whether they live ion the mountain of Mentone or vacation there give their homes and gat-a-ways a name. Some of the names date back over 100 years. It is with pride that I have the privilege of making the new and improved versions of these estate names. This painting (two sided) is hand painted and will adorn the Owl's Roost, located in the heart of Mentone.

These were designed for a local Liquor Store in which the owner, small town or not wanted his store to be "professional" As well as the Logo and sign design I created for him. I also designed his "cash drop envelopes". As expected it created an air of respectability to a shoppe that was located in the bible belt and soon, even the church attending, well respected people of the town visit his store often.

This sign was designed for one of Mentone's boutiques. Originally the owner, who started with the idea of making funny looking dolls out of dried gourds dressed as characters of the imagination. Over the years there are few gourds but many, many unique gift items from around the world. Mentone is known for their tourists and enjoy the beautiful mountain surroundings many of which keep their vacation homes here.

As I said, time being short on this project, I did my own photography, designed the layout and had in printed in a matter of days. The event was highly enjoyed by all and the reps from the 2 wine companies were happy to take their orders or to be told that the wine they preferred was indeed on the shelves of the wine shoppe or they could place an order for a larger amount. All guests were ready to visit the restaurant again for the wonder fair they had put on. I was fortunate to be a guest. Delicious!

The owner of the wine shoppe gave one of his store name pens for each booklet and spaces were left for the guests to make note on their own wine paring ideas as well as those presented during the 5 course meal.

This book was handed out as a complimentary souvenir at a local wine tasting and food paring event. The original size kept in mind the quality, budget and time for the project (which was days away) The photography was my own, shot with a digital camera to save time. There were requests for more books than we ordered to have printed as some quests wanted to give one away and keep one for themselves. The size was 6"X8" and was brought within budget by the spiral style binding.

This 8.5"X 3.25" flyer was created for a fine artist who was featuring a show based on her opinion the the Modern Medicine always considered a woman's problems many years and not as effectively as men's ailments. It's odd measurements are ment to reflect the 1/2 a page as in half the attention to women's ailments. The name over the show "oversights" being the boldest in typography pulls the eye away from the first seen inage of what organs make a woman different from a man.

This 9X10 on card stock was created for a local fine artist for her one man show. This series of 7 paintings based on American Indian Chiefs and Chief Warriors was further advertised by a poster created in this same design. All of the painting were marked "sold" long before the end of the showing.

This 7X10 Flyer was created for two merchants. One a restaurant and one a wine shop. There was a 40.00 charge for the event. It was by invitation. There were so many people interested in the event that the original numbered of invited guests were doubled. Probably good thing the fire chief didn't stop in too! A smashing success!

I have designed many more items than this site will allow me to take credit for. I am a fine artist and Illustrator (both digital and traditional). I have design both hand made books (special occasion) and professional layouts for newspaper and magazine. In fact I was awarded 2nd in a national competition. I also do my own photography (when required) and have samples that you can refer to. I worked in the entertainment business for some years and organized all advertising, designed print, coordinated radio and TV spots and many other details.
