This is the opening page of my chapter in a really fantastic graphic novel that teaches young people to deal with money. Written by Paul Norigat.

A page from an unpublished project I was commissioned to do the art for, called "The High Road". Written by Scott R. Schmidt. It was a black and white project so I had to find ways to fill large flat areas without the use of color (hence the textures).

This is a character sketch from a project about black teenagers that I recently worked on. It was meant to get the feel of the characters and also show that I am capable of drawing the subject.

I like your work! I didn't get cartooning and storyboard when I went to VCU, and now I am wondering why.

Thanks for the kind words. I don't think storyboarding/sequential art is a widely taught part of the college curriculum (unfortunately). When I started looking at schools my choices were very very limited in sequential art, although it has gotten better recently. Still, it's not a widely taught discipline; most comic book artists who go to school have fine arts or graphic design degrees with an emphasis in painting or illustration and sort of do comic work that way.

That was what I wanted for a long time, but I didn't really get the option when I was at VCU. Your work is great!

About Me:
I am a published comic book artist based in Omaha, NE. I am currently seeking full time work in the comic or illustration fields. I am mainly a penciller, but I am able to ink and color my own work if necessary. I am able to and do use Photo Shop and Adobe Illustrator to complete assignments. I have just completed a degree in Electronic Imaging and Media Arts. I currently work on a webcomic and produce one page per week. I am looking to commit to full time work in comics or illustration. I am committed to meeting deadlines and have a flexible schedule. I am extremely flexible and work well with everyone.
