Title - Change a Shirt Medium - Screen printed T shirt This project was a fund raiser for a friend going to Africa for the summer to serve orphans in need of love and humanitarian help. My goal was to create a product which could be sold to raise funds and which could also illustrate her heart for the trip. I printed my image on used shirts which already had printing. I incorporated the original print with the new print by use of color, placement, and ink added to the original. This process illustrates that healing does not delete our past hurts, but it incorporates them into our future and makes them a beautiful part of our story. the project changed shirts so that my friend could change lives.

Title - The Way I see It Medium - Digital Photo The rest of this series is available on request. My goal was to take photos which made glasses a focal point because, as a glasses wearer I am constantly aware of the frames through which I see the world and I think it is important that we learn to see the metaphysical frames that we view the world through as well. If we are aware of our own biases and prejudices we can learn to overcome them, if we are not then we will continually perpetuate the cycles of the society we were raised in.

Title - Lyra Thompson Concept Lyra is the antagonist for a comic series I am currently in process of creating. This is the first satisfying character design for her, she's a bit of a pirate surprisingly justified in her actions.

Title - Wonderland These four images were designed as T - Shirts and Stickers as a gift for a friend. Each represents in a single image one or more characters from Alice in Wonderland. The first is the Mad Tea Party, the Hatter's hat, the March Hare's ears, and the Sleepy Doormouse. The second is the Cheshire Cat, with his signature smile and saying. Then we have the White Rabbit, always racing after the Queen of Hearts' time clock, and Alice after eating the cookie that shrinks her to fit through the door.

Title - Woman Reclined This is an 11 minute drawing, My goal in figure drawing is to capture the emotion and energy of the pose in addition to rendering the model accurately. This drawing uses the sepia tone to denote where the weight of the models body is being held by her muscles, and white to show not only light but the dormant energy in her body as she rests here.

Title - Orbs in Space Non-objective art is great for decorating and as conversation pieces it is unbeatable. This piece has sparked many great conversations about color, form, space, gravity, and several other topics. I love that art can inspire interaction and discussion and I strive to have all my pieces accomplish that.

Title: The Shoes make the Outfit A still life rendered in blue pastel and charcoal. An exercise in drapery and framing an interesting composition. The skeleton is the main focal point, but she is not entirely included in the piece, which provokes interest. The use of complimentary colors as an accent drive the eye around the piece and engage the viewer to examine the entire piece and not merely the central elements.

Title - Cats in Blue A painting in tribute to Picasso's blue period, as well as his development of the cubist style. Cubism redefined the art world as a whole and one of the biggest parts of the redefinition was using color expressively rather than realistically. This piece employs the blues and purples of the blue Period, as well as the saturated hues of synthetic cubism at the apex of the movement.

Title - Drowning This piece captures the climactic moment of the story between characters Flindt (in pencil) and Cora (in pen) two friends both entangled in drug addiction and struggling to escape it. Flindt is in the throws of an overdose in this moment and no longer fighting it. The medium of each character represents their physical, emotional, and mental state. Flindt is portrayed in pencil and many of the details were created by erasing, and there are no clear distinct lines. Hes basically destroyed his body, and is ready to let this binge **** him. Hes trying to erase himself, and his view of reality is incoherent and unstable. Cora is depicted in ball point pen. I chose ball point because it is somewhat informal, but still defined in its line quality. At this point in the story Cora is thinking through her own drug use and is trying to save Flindt partly because she sees some of herself in him and if he can be saved the she certainly can.
