Said "Thanks for the advice John, over the years I have tried to get in contact with companies about art job openings, but the only thing it has resulted in so far are just them glimpsing at my portfolio, telling me they like my work, then further blowing smoke by saying if a freelance position opens up they will let me know (When we pretty much both know that by the time a position opens up they will have forgotten me and All I will have succeeded in is getting my hopes up for nothing). Even worse every time they compliment me on my work (which they have been doing for years) I pretty much want to tell them, "Shut Up get to the point!!! Do I get the position or not, being nice just hurts me more by this friggin point"!!! The only time they respond to my applications is to tell me, "So sorry we have passed you over for someone else...good luck in your future endeavors"." to John Mahomet

First oil painting of the new year. I call it "Great Red Dragon and the Beast of the Sea and Sky battle for the soul of the Average Man", or "2016 Presidential Politics; According to a Cynic". The Red Dragon in this piece is an eldricth abomination and twisted mesh of seven of the 2016 Republican party and the beast of the sea and sky is a bio mechanical, natural union of the big three of the 2016 Democratic Party. The prise they are fighting over, the soul and vote of the average man, represented by a close friend of mine/pupil of mine from Drew University.
