About Me:
I am a freelance writer with years of experience reporting and copy editing in the newspaper industry. I have a B.S. in Journalism from Utica College of Syracuse University and a M.S. in Adolescent Education from the University of Rochester. While in college, I won numerous writing awards.
In addition to writing articles, I enjoy writing works of fiction and screenplays. In 2014, I received an Honorable Mention in the $50,000 Story Share Writing Contest for my short story "Ricky Rides the Pine." My animated screenplay "The Pet Shop" was entered into two international screenplay competitions. I am currently working on a young adult manuscript.
