Singer/Songwriter /author/poet Kerry Baxter, who started her music and writing career at the tender age of 8 -winning a local children’s talent show in her hometown of Derby. Her unique style of lyric and poetry writing and impersonating famous singers soon dubbed her Derby’s answer to little voice and catapulted her into a modelling singing and writing career- supporting many well known celebrities and being a finalist in Miss Lovely Eyes of Great Britain - Miss Photo-girl and Miss Personality.
Her debut in the British film ”Snap” as a Cilla Black impersonator and co- writer for the original sound track reached rave reviews at the British films festival, along with being a finalist in “Free The Spirit” Pernod song writing competition, where she co- wrote 3 tracks, reaching the last 25 out of hundreds of hopefuls. Kerry’s unique writing skills have recently dominated her singing career, reaching round 3 in the Brit Writers Awards Unpublished 2010- succeeding over 21,000 entries with exits from her gutsy and innovative poetry book, “Fresh in your Mind”, one of her several short stories “liquorice” and her quirky, funny and truly original children’s novel “Queen Anna Wrexic & the Black Forest Gateau” with which she won a place on the brits writers publishing programme for 2011. Kerry’s passion of becoming a published author remains for-ever in her aim.

Kerry Baxter, who won a place on the Brits Writers Publishing Programme after reaching round 3 in the Brits Writers Awards unpublished in 2011 and succeding over 21,000 other entries with her highly acclaimed children's novel, Princess Victoria Sandwich and The Black Forest Gateaux (part two of The Black Forest Gauteax series),one of her adult short storys, 'Liquorice' and several poems from her remarkable compilation titled, 'Fresh In My Mind' which is an overwhelming collection of powerful poems and philosophical quotes, based on her own true life experiences and some nail biting situations!.
