And that brings me to the end of the story – thanks for coming along with us. It was an awesome trip (we drove over 3000km in all!) and one we will not forget in a hurry (well Ava might, but she has pics to remind her later). We saw a lot of new and exciting wildlife, travelled through plains, mountain ranges and valleys all in different weather conditions, stood at the base of many waterfalls – each different and better than the other in some way, walked around many lakes of many different sizes and colours and each with their own unique backdrop. We walked on a very, very old glacier, stood at the top of mountains and looked down on towns, learnt about the history of the area – both from a natural and human stance and enjoyed the Canadian people we met along the way."

About Me:
Thank you for taking the time to read through my application. In December 2011, my family and I moved to Canada from Australia for a 24 month secondment with my husband’s work, previous to this I worked as an HR professional with a side passion for writing and opinionated descriptive prose. Since being in Canada, and writing a daily journal on what life is like here, what it is like as a new mum (I have an 8 month old) and sending home ‘travel’ journals to family and friends, I have discovered that my passion for expressing emotion, sight and opinions on paper has increased to the point where I want to pursue a writing career.
