I especially like how the background fades too dark on either side of the larger faces and intern highlights the smaller figure. It seems you love curved lines as much as I do i.e. her curls (Highlighted in the same way as the full figure.) and the awesome way you've written your title, like a signature. I'll have to look for your real signature also with such a cool name!
VSeeN USA - Over 30 days ago
It's funny how you mention and notice the curves in this piece. I never noticed this till you pointed out to me. It's true. Actually my name Ricciarelli means curly haired one and I love wearing curls!!! :). Thank you so much for checking out my work.

So help me out here. Which came first: artwork (Your original inspiration?), movie, Animé? Movie, Animé, art? Movie, artwork, Animé? Just wondering about your thought process for such a diverse assortment of Gordons.
VSeeN USA - Over 30 days ago
First in foremost what drives and inspires all of my work is what I call "God's Canvas in the Sky". Then everything else comes under that, the unusal encounters in life. Also anything as far as my eye can see except the perverted gross stuff and fowl languange. Then comes Art, anime, movies. Gordon's Quest came to me when I was 9 years old. Ever since then, I have been working on it. I even dream about it and had many adventures. Life's unusual encounters and so much more. I hope that answered your question. If not, let me know and I would be happy to explain further :)

I love your metaphor for artistic inspiration and I absolutely agree. When I look back at an art work and am baffled that I was ever able to draw that, I know that I was channeling His talent. That's one thing I love about being an artist and creating things from nothing, like our Great Creator. It is so cool that Gordon has been with you since you were nine years old! I've always said that the creativity of a child is the most abundant, and artists tend to be the main ones to hold onto that gift.
VSeeN USA - Over 30 days ago
I know exactly what you mean :D Hearing you say that is a blessing to me :) it's rare to find other artist who also know this when it comes to creating things like the creator :) a blessing :) yes it's been a long journey with Gordon's Quest. I am ready to show it to the world.

Hey Katia, I can't sew much more than a button, but I'll be more than happy to advertise your talent by wearing this little number! I would love to see it in different shades of blues. Or how about a variation without the rosettes, but instead, another layered curve coming off the left shoulder strap and down across the front where the rosettes are now. Imagine it in blues and greens fading into one another. with a few light spritzes of speckles in white here and there — like sea-spray! Okay, you'll have to forgive me, but blame yourself, as this is such an inspiring piece. Now I am seeing a draped, long, but above-the-ankle, skirt of the same flowing material. Swung low on the hips, then twisted up in a small rosette to create the draping, right below the split in the front/side, with its own split all the way down the front so your leg plays peek-a-boo. You could even do the same under the center rosette at the back, which I believe would flatter the bum. Of course here, you would only want the slit to come up maybe as far as just above the back of the knees, (Sorry, guys.) but probably just a kick 'non-pleat'. (So have I impressed you with my 'official fashion Vocab' yet?) Can't you just see it? And how sexy would you feel in this? A skirt would feel delicious on newly shaven legs, no?

Not particularly, although I really got into Project Runway for a few seasons. As you can probably tell I love to analyze artwork, In whatever form it takes. This site has also made me realize how much I like to collaborate with other artists, just from working with clients. Besides, I absolutely love the flow and lines of your design. It just looks like something I would love to wear. So do you actually sew your designs as well? That is the part of Project Runway where I would fall flat on my face.

I love designing clothes. I like to feel good and look good. The characters do as well. My fashion designs are called "Ricciarelli". I designed clothes special for the characters :) I always say, a wardrobe sails a lot about a character. It is part of their story and cartel the type of upbringing they have. At least that is what I think. I am very glad you like it :)

You are that favorite student of mine in a class drawing still lives, who includes surrounding objects to create their own individual composition, and usually a much more interesting piece. Especially your cast shadows. Too many people leave them out or cannot execute them as transparent and lying correctly over different surfaces. I love how the shadow of the bench gives the viewer much more information about the object than the actual object itself, which barely peeks in from the side.

Thank you so much for your generous feedback! :). It's funny, I never really payed attention to these details drawing them though am fully aware looking at them. I just knew they were part of the story of the subject matter. Are you an art teacher by chance?
Shawn Saacke Crawford - Over 30 days ago
Guilty. What was your first clue? My comments, or the fact that I love to talk about art? Or, as my husband says, I love to hear myself talk about art.... I miss peer critiques in art school, can you tell?
VSeeN USA - Over 30 days ago
The first clue was in the first sentence of the first "you are that student of mine in a class". Also your language was sophisticated and detailed. The vocab and language and the way you described things you liked about my piece. That's how I thought you to be a teacher :)
