I went to a natural horse training demonstration and took photos of this beautiful appaloosa that had plenty of character. I wanted to capture his essence in doing three poses in one drawing. This was done in pen and ink using the stipple effect.

This is a pencil portrait of my Great Grandparent's wedding photo and their home. I enjoy historical photos like this one because they have great black and white shadows from using the old time cameras. I was honored by my hometown with a picture in the paper and an outstanding artist award.

This colored pencil drawing I did on black paper of my friend Muret from Turkey. It was an interesting project that got me thinking on my toes. Usually pressing harder with colored pencil drawing makes things darker. With this one I had to think the opposite as pressing harder made it lighter. I am still amazed how real this one came out and certainly loved the challenge.

Niiice,..definitely feel'n this piece,...I've done alot of pieces on black paper,...it's one of my favs,...did u use fabriano, german etching, ...either is very nice... :)
