I am a fairly new author but my children's books have been accepted for publication. I want to maintain creative control so I want to employ my own artist and not leave the artwork to the publisher.
Since I am retired and have limited funding I am willing to be generous with an offering of a percentage of the net profits through perpetuity under contract. If you can not accept this offering I fully understand
I need a realist rendering and prefer pastel or watercolor as the medium.
Since I have been approved for publication and I personally had the stories vetted to my target audience I know this new concept is very marketable. Time is crucial to make the Christmas market but I know that this may not happen. The artist who started on this project with me decided being a "beach bunny" was more important.
