Kenneth Rufo is the Media Space Research Coordinator in the Masters of Communication in Digital Media program at the University of Washington. He holds a Ph.D. in communication, has published a dozen pieces in peer-reviewed journals (including Quarterly Journal of Speech, Review of Communication, Critical Studies in Media Communication, Explorations in Media Ecology, Argumentation and Advocacy, among others), and teaches courses on media studies, gaming and virtual worlds, usability testing, and the ethics of digital media. Art has been a part of my life since my early childhood. I have always had a passion for drawing, design, and any other creative outlet. I have experience with animal illustration and portrait painting, which has been very rewarding for me. I also have done various small design projects such as brochures, business cards, posters, etc. I am currently enrolled in school to complete my Associates in Graphic Design.
