Hello. I have been designing childrens illustrations, products and textiles for over 20 years. I love the way children see the world around them and the way they are so connected to who they are. Designing for kids makes me feel happy inside. Each character, that I design, is a joy to me. I have been asked where my inspiration for my characters and designs come from, they come from life all around me and all the children I have ever known in my life, including the one who lives inside of me. My experience is broad, from watercolor designs for Disney's Classic Winnie the Pooh for textile designs and Wall Art to working for every major childrens bedding manufacture creating textiles and products for them with original illustrations. I work on and off the computer. Off the computer I use watercolor, acrylics, pen and ink and collage work. I work in both Illustrator and Photoshop digitally. I would love to work with you illustrating your book and bringing your story and characters to life. If you require any additional information about my skills and abilities, I am happy to forward on to you a list of satisfied clients. Thank you, MaryJane

In the beginning, there was Benton and Bowles, an advertising agency created in 1929. DMB&B created the original Santa Claus icon for a Coca-Cola ad, as well as the slogans "This Bud's for you" for Budweiser and "Melts in your mouth, not in your hands" for M&Ms. Lester Wunderman talks about direct marketing in this brief speech. Lester Wunderman (June 22, 1920) is an advertising executive widely considered the creator of modern-day direct marketing. His innovations include the magazine subscription card, the toll-free 1-800 number, loyalty rewards programs, and many more. He identified, named and defined the term "direct marketing" in a 1967 speech at MIT, and was inducted into the Advertising Hall of Fame in 1998. My work is a direct product of wonderful clients. I have been fortunate enough to have had the opportunities to work with DreamWorks, St. Jude's Children Hospital and The Breast Cancer Research Foundation through my clients. As far as my work is concerned, I prefer to have bold colors and crisp lines. I like simple and contrasting images/illustrations to grab an audience. I like to think of all of my designs being put on billboards. If someone is driving by, they only have a few seconds to look at it. I want those few seconds to COUNT!

I am a freelance Artist who is based in Bristol, and I promote my work throughout the south west of England. However I have worked outside theses areas on large projects. I have been drawing for as long as I can remember and took to digital medium in 2006. Doing so has given me advantages on being able to produce work fluently and making changes with no commotion. I work on two levels of illustration and design. The child in me enjoys coming up with ideas, from children’s books to corporate humour such as Christmas cards and web illustrations. While the other side of me enjoys producing dynamic and original business graphics for instance, Logos, posters to promote publicity, shop signage and websites’.
