Since a young age, writing has been a fundamental part of my upbringing. I started out doing poetry for school, persuasive essays, and things of that nature. Later, I ventured into hip hop music in my early teens. Still doing various writing and, as equally important, I was always imagining things. Songs, stories, concepts for fiction etc. Recently, I've really decided to commit to putting my gifts use. I have no formal degrees for either music writing, or fiction/screen/comic writing. Because of that I'm willing to demonstrate a portion of work...as a sample, to prove worthy. I look forward to working with anyone in need of various music writing (not just Hip Hop), and also fictional works!! I am a graduate of The Ohio State University and have also done advanced coursework at The Ohio State University, Otterbein College and also did International Baccalaureate Art & Design at The United World College in Montezuma, New Mexico. I have been a practicing artist for about 20 years working in many different mediums. I have worked on children's books, greeting cards, been a member of art galleries, had personal art shows, done freelance jobs of all kinds. I have tried to work in and master different materials, it is exciting and challenging and that way things are never boring. I was a participating artist of "Courage Unmasked" a series of art shows around Central Ohio to help benefit head and neck cancer at The James Cancer Hospital at OSU. The benefit partnered cancer survivors with artists and we used their radiation masks for art. All of these art endeavors take place while I teach middle school art full-time in Worthington, Ohio. I teach Watercolor Painting, Ceramics, Jewelry/Metalsmithing, Drawing,etc..... I have been an Art teacher for 18-19 years and have taught in Ohio and also three countries overseas, as well as, been a Supervisor for Student Teachers at The Ohio State University. I think much of my art illustrates the fact that I have lived overseas, traveled to more than 35 countries and am married to an Egyptian. I love other cultures, religions, art, traditions and ways of thinking. Experiences like I've had are priceless and I am thankful for all of them.
