I'm very good at drawing things from a picture or from real life. I like to work with ink and pencil. I'm not as talented with paint. I Can basically draw anything you need me too i just need a detailed description or a picture or anything of that nature. I do not have any formal education such as a college degree however I do know how to draw and use the tools needed to draw a beautiful piece. I have a lot of talent and just need to opportunity to show it.

My name is Barbara Outterson. I have been doing vocal performance since age 6 in various choral and church settings, worked as a church cantor from ages 18-22, attended and performed with the David Hochstein Music School in multiple Broadway musicals between ages 17 & 25. Beginning at age 16, I became a member of the Rochester Opera Theatre as a chorus member and went on to attend Roberts Wesleyan College from ages 21-24 as a Vocal Performance and Pedagogy major. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy and studied under Judith Coen of the Metropolitan Opera. I sang multiple principle roles in various operatic performances during my academic career. Upon graduation I opened my own voice studio. I became the Director of Music at Wake Forest Academy of Fine Arts in the summer of 1999 and am currently employed there as the vocal and piano instructor. My vocal technique focuses upon a healthful voice; both in speech and singing. I performed as a soprano, soloist, and chorus manager for the North Carolina Master Chorale from 2000-2011 and coached several members as a vocal instructor. My focus is a versatile and healthy speaking and singing voice and I feel that I can provide exceptional quality as vocal talent for various projects.

A Bellingham, WA, based photojournalist and workshop instructor, I am currently a Getty Images contributor and freelance photographer for The Bellingham Herald. I feel confident I can capture those story telling images you need. My experience is in breaking news, photo essays, portraiture, travel and sports, and covering those assignments no one else will. This has taught me how to capture moments, think on my feet, be flexible, and flow with the changes. I've covered everything possible including sports assignments from PeeWee football to the Tennessee Titans Super Bowl run, general news from city elections to the 2008 Democratic National Convention, weather assignments covering everything from snow features to a tornado to the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina. There is no assignment too big nor too small. Not only do I have a love for photography, but I am also an avid outdoorsman. Camping, hiking, and backpacking are some of my favorite things. During winter, my feet are on my board and I'm sliding down the mountain, tackling the more challenging terrain. After years of roaming the country working for various news organizations, I now live in the Pacific Northwest north of Seattle in the town of Bellingham, Wash., with my wife Heidi As well as being a freelance photographer, I am also a volunteer co-leader with the NW Photo LENS photography group I help organize the meetings, recruit guest speakers, as well as organize and teach workshops. We currently have over 1200 members averaging 100 per monthly meeting. In addition to co-organizing NWPhotoLENS, I am also a high school sports photographer for the Northwest Conference Athletics covering Meridian High School winter, spring, and summer sports including baseball, softball, football, soccer, basketball, golf, and track.
