I have diverse skills and interests including: writing, photography, drawing, computer programming, and website design/coding. I enjoy nature and pursue mountaineering, diving, and surfing. Additionally, I have a talent for advertising slogans. I have designed a few logos. And, I've done quite a bit of picture editing. I wrote a cover article for "National Parks" magazine about the wapiti (elk) of Grand Teton National Park. For the past few years, I have been developing skills in website design ("hand coded" - html, css, javascript, and some php). I have written several interactive (dynamic) websites, and many webpages. I have knowledge of science (mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology). I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with many credit hours in the other subjects, especially physics. I taught in those areas for many years. I was in a pre-med program, and took graduate-level course in botany and psychology. I made studies of diseases, especially Equine Infectious Anemia. I have many years of professional experience in computer programming and software development. I was part of a programming team that designed and coded the automated resource and range scheduling system for the Air Test and Development Center. My wife, Gayle, and I divide our time between New Orleans and East Tennessee next to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
