Accuracy for each assignment was imperative. Prior to turning assignments in, I would review and re-listen to each dictation confirming and comparing the audio to the typed transcript. In addition to editing, reviewing and careful listening, I was also required to follow a set of guidelines and requests, received via ANP Transcription, that the court set-forth to follow for the completion of their transcripts. CLARK HILL PLC, Grand Rapids, MI 08/10-04/12 Legal Secretary I maintained a legal secretary position to three or four attorneys, and other attorneys as needed. Primary focus of law was in the following fields: Employment and Labor Law, Educational and Municipal Law, and Corporation and Nonprofit Governance Law. My responsibilities included transcribing dictation, proof reading and editing documents, drafting legal documents and communicating with several organizations including multiple nonprofit organizations, municipal cities and counties, schools, unions and the National Labor Relations Board. I managed the attorneys’ calendars, billed time and corresponded and made appointments with clients. In addition, I filled in for other secretaries and the receptionist as needed.
