Laura Ann Lee Objective: My objective is to be able to inspire people, especially those with psychological disabilities that not many cares to recognize or even acknowledge. If it were up to me and not the world, I, Personally, wouldn’t mind if I got paid for my work or not. Because to me, being a well-renowned author and having people tell you how much you’ve inspired or genuinely helped them is the greatest payment of them all. Education: Although I never finished high-school to graduate, I did have a 3.5 GPA all throughout school. I had also made the honor roll a few times, so I wouldn't call myself unintelligent or not qualified for anything because I don't have a certificate saying so. Experience: HubPages have featured two of my articles Awards & Acknowledgements: I've always been the A student when it came to English and Art. My teachers have praised my writing, especially my poetic side. Won an award in 2009 for a costume parade, but I made an alternate version of Belle. I'm always proud of my work and people do seem to like it as well.

I specialize in pencil portrait art, and more specifically time period and costume portraiture. I am inspired by the way a fabric folds, the softness of hair, the clarity of eyes. These things draw me into a subjects world. I also treasure the history of objects, and capturing the tactile impressions of those things is something I strive to perfect. I have begun working on darker subjects using skeletal forms. I am also inspired by the Steampunk genre, and you will see more of that in my art. My work was exhibited at the RAW Artists Marvel Showcase in April 2013 in Scottsdale AZ and Translations in Tucson September 2013.

View resume http://brittanyrogerillustration.carbonmade.com/projects/4398603#1 Brittany Roger grew up in tiny town in Pennsylvania that no one has ever heard of. Most days were spent with her three brothers, splashing threw creeks, climbing trees and catching local snakes, turtles and insects etc. Early on she developed a loving fixation on reptiles, particularly snakes. Throughout her life she has continuously gained understanding and love for biodiversity and the harmony of science and art in relation to nature and animals. As an adult and illustrator, it is her personal goal to make science, nature and education as fun and beautiful as possible through her work. Brittany graduated from Maryland Institute College of Art in May 2011 and is now in their graduate program of Professional Studies. She has interned at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History in DC three times. This included the departments of Invertebrate Zoology, Botany, and Amphibians & Reptiles. Her experiences in the museum have furthered her desire to continue natural science work, both for adults and children Outside of artwork and reptiles, Brittany squeezes in rock climbing, hiking, horseback riding and visiting family.
