Graphic Design and Illustration Experience: Freelance work in graphic design and illustration has been the focus of my own studio, Sandoval Slater Art since it’s inception in 2000. Local clients are the source of a variety of projects including an annual report design, Christmas card design and illustration, coordinated poster, invitation, and print ad design, logo and stationery design and a small book design project. Projects are completed on time, within budget and to client’s complete satisfaction. Full time as a graphic artist for MasterTag International resulted in handling a variety of client requests for design and illustration. Projects included plant tags, cards and posters communicating growing instructions for plants and flowers. As graphic artist I was responsible for illustration as well as the design of various projects for clients throughout the United States In addition, I participated in hiring the graphic design team with two I recommended still successful designers there. At Perrin Company, I was the primary designer for their women’s line of screenprinting and embroidery. During my first few months of employment, their major client, Meijer bought several of my designs. I am proficient (teach introductory and intermediate classes) in the Adobe Creative Suite software including Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
