I am a graduate from Hollins University with a passion for writing. I spent the past four years in Virginia studying English with a Concentration in Creative Writing. While at Hollins, I learned various writing techniques that range from formal reports to a creative story. I also studied different authors (Browning, Bronte, etc.) and eras (Modern, Victorian, etc.). This last year in particular, I wrote a year long thesis that consisted of free verse poems and a few prose poems. I do write fiction and non-fiction as well. The culture differences between Colorado and Virginia influence my own writing heavily. I am constantly exploring the gap (physically and mentally) between the idea of two homes and the social dynamics between family and relationships. Going from a co-ed high school to an all women's private liberal art college (yes, it's a mouthful) has given me a unique out look on the world and I hope one day to write about it.

Paul Dalling Independent Proofreader Commenced working as a freelance proofreader in May 2010 in order to make use of the extensive knowledge and experience gained during my time in the printing and publishing industry.
