I am an experienced senior commissioning editor and novelist with a decade in the publishing industry under my belt. I feel it's vital that encouragement and solutions should be at the forefront of an edit, and that feedback should be empathetic and kind. My fiction journey was far from straightforward. Having had my work rejected by agents and publishers before I found both, I know how hard it can be to keep going.
