An advanced photographer with many texture, filter and design skills. I create every album from each client. I believe that these memories are the most significant purchase that the client can take with them. Reliving their precious moments are significant. I also design logos and magazine layouts which have been featured in The Knot magazine. I am extremely creative and go beyond the lens and software to capture the soul of the moment. I have been in the business for over 7 years. There is nothing that I can't achieve. There is no design to difficult for me to master. I work with my clients to in a collabrative relationship so that there is nothing they feel denied of. I have created many albums and each spread is created to stand alone as a gallery art spread. My clients have a name and they are important to me.

My name is Katherine Barrow. I was born and raised in Johannesburg, and have lived here almost my entire life. I have always had a love of art and design and an appreciation for all things beautiful. I have not studied design, but rather have taught myself. Endless hours of playing and experimenting, and a keen desire to learn more, have given me the skills to create design which I believe to be simple and elegant. While I appreciate the clean, simple, almost utilitarian aspects of modern design, I have a penchant for design purely for design's sake. I love indulgent, opulent design and decoration. While modern design is functional, I see no reason to sacrifice ornamentation in order to achieve that. Therefore, I seek to create design that strikes a perfect balance between opulence and ornamentation, and the clean, functional design of the present. My influences range from Art Noveau and Art Deco, to William Morris and Rosetti, to Web 2.0, and everything in between. In this world of simplicity, functionality and instant gratification, I do not want to lose sight of the fact that, after all, design is art.
