In 2012 I completed a degree with The School of Performing and Screen Arts at Unitec, Auckland. In my second year I majored in Editing and have developed a strong passion for the craft. I have now Edited and assisted in the post of feature films, TV series and commercials. My strongest tools are Avid Media Composer and Final Cut Pro. I enjoy all aspects of post, both technical and creative which has afforded me the opportunity to both try my hand at cutting and assist technically in demanding environments I thrive in fast turnaround work environments and find it highly motivating. Which is part of what attracted me to the film world. I like to be challenged and will almost always find a solution to a problem before me. I have been taught that I am the first to admit when I don't know something but I will also be the first to figure it out. Most recently I have been Assistant Editor for several TV Series at South Pacific Pictures. These include the hit NZ series "Westside" as well as "The Brokenwood Mysteries" and the Australian series "800 Words". Please see my website for further details: http://jayworks.me/
