www.jeniferstern.com, deja42artgallery.com Jenifer R Stern was born 1974 in Mesa, Arizona. Far from the stereotypical barrenness, Stern's youthful desert was populated with layers of wonders and creatures, some of whom only she could see. Early attempts to capture their likeness in drawings gave way to the more satisfying third dimension of sculpture. Stern's mixed media sculptures raise questions about identity and how we define ourselves within contemporary culture. Her figurative work is an interpretation of the many facets of identity, which she addresses with a multi-layered approach to building form. Stern’s sculptures are a visual experience of how emotions, chance impressions and pivotal experiences mold and alter us. Recognizable and yet alien, her work traverses the landscape of her own experiences and observations. Stern received a BFA in Sculpture from Arizona State University in 2005, her MFA in Sculpture at the Academy of Art University in 2011 and her Art Education Teaching Certificate at Moore College of Art in 2013. She is currently creating and teaching art and resides in South New Jersey with her son and her father. Education 2013 Post-Bacc. He is a member of the Clovis Art Guild, the Fresno Arts Council, and the Fresno Arts Network. Born in Laos, of Hmong origin, he relocated right after the Vietnam War in France where he lived over 32 years before settling in Clovis in 2008. He founded and currently manages Colligo Studio, a thriving art studio and gallery in downtown Fresno, California. Ma Ly received awards from both the Fresno Fair Fine Arts Contest and the Clovis Art Guild and was a judge for art programs involving the Fresno Unified School District and the Fresno Art Museum. In January 2011, he completed a life size posthumous portrait of General Vang Pao for his memorial service. A limited edition giclée print of this painting now hangs in the Vang family’s house in Westminster, California. Also, Martin Luther King Jr., III owns in Atlanta, Georgia a print of Ma Ly's award-winning oil painting “The Bus of Shame”. The original piece has been loaned to the African American Historical & Cultural Museum of the San Joaquin Valley of Fresno for the year 2011. Both paintings were broadcasted on the local news. Between art shows, he welcomes any type of commissions and gives art lessons at his studio, at Michaels store in Clovis, and at Fresno Adult School."

Ever since I was a little kid, animation has always inspired me and fueled my imagination. It excited me to see stories that I could relate to shown in new and creative ways. Along with animating, one of my favorite creative outlets is writing and illustrating children's poetry. I believe that with the right approach and a diligent perspective you can spread any message effectively through an animation, film, illustration, even a poem.

As someone always compelled to correct spelling and grammar in all forms, and who instantly catches any errors are found in print, I've decided I should put my obsession and innate skills to use in the freelance world as a proofreader. Please feel free to send me a short paragraph for a free example. As an added bonus I can offer some graphic design. I have designed event posters, flyers, newsletters, newspaper ads, t-shirts, CD/album covers and jackets, and band and business logos. An eye for layout, color and contrast is my best attribute for this endeavor. I have also provided voice over work for radio commercials. I sound professional, enunciate well, and produce a finished product in few takes. As an added bonus, I have access to a professional recording studio and producer; my husband runs his own studio.
