I am a young aspiring Durban filmmaker who is searching for employment. Through the course of my career in the industry I have attained a bachelor majoring in screen writing at AFDA, School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance. Through my studies I have accumulated knowledge of film and the preparation that goes into making a film within an educational environment. I have experience on set through directing and writing scripts and I have written my own along with translating them into film. With regard to my experience and work outside of college, I have undergone a two week videography course which instilled the basics of camera work as of June of 2018 and I have been editing for two years now. Within a year of the course I have shot and edited a number of projects ranging from an outreach project to small business videos including a restaurant and a consulting company along with event videography. This has given me experience in filmmaking from camera work to taking onset sound. With regard to my ability as an editor, I have experience editing with softwares such as Premiere Pro and Davinci Resolve, with the latter being my primary editing software in which I have some minor experience in motion graphics and animation. This has given me experience with various editing techniques such as creating the family friendly atmosphere of a restaurant, a professional and concise explanatory video for a business video and the engaging and journey like experience required for a documentary/outreach project.
