I grew up in Chicago and moved to Seattle after I became an empty nester. Seattle has had a great influence on me with the diverse artists working in different pockets of neighborhoods. I have been influenced by nature, the grey skies, the abundant flowers and easy going life style. My whimsical designs are created by use of acryllic, house paint, or water colors. I enjoy using different textures and layers and have a wonderful sense of color/composition as well. At times I use mirror pieces, lettering, and objectd. Most of my work is done with little lay out time since I use little reference materials. Many people have liked my childlike forms and images and are inspired to try new things themselves.
