My first co-authored book was RX For Hospitals with Philip Hassen who was CEO at the world-renowned St. Joseph’s Health Center in London, Canada. I then provided my writing and editing services to a subsequent book, Re-Inventing Hospitals, on the subject of health care reform. My third book, The Canadian Consumer's Guide to Health Care, was released nationally by McGraw-Hill Ryerson Inc. and received considerable media attention. In 2001, I began an ongoing collaboration with David Patchell-Evans, president of GoodLife Fitness Clubs (the world’s largest chain of fitness clubs owned by a single individual) as chief editor of a book on the role of fitness, health, and quality of life. Entitled Living the Good Life: Your Guide to Health and Success, this book is in its fourth printing and has over one million copies currently in circulation, as well as being released in audiobook format. In 2009, I assisted David Patchell-Evans with his second book, The Real Sexy, Smart and Strong (published by John Wiley & Sons and released September 2009—it has reached bestseller status in its category {Health – Body and Mind} in Canada and the US.) With former Special Forces officer Jim Pritchard, I edited the book The Warrior Mind, released by Amacom in New York in January 2006. I recently edited a book by motivational speaker and corporate trainer Robert Parker (who works with Duke University’s Corporate Education), called The Pit Crew Challenge. In the self-publishing field, I have extensive experience with assisting authors who are choosing to self-publish. These projects have included writing and editing a book on masterminding entitled The Elevator Effect with mastermind coaches Marcus Paton and Sona E. Van Der Hoop; a book entitled Life is Change – Growth Is Optional with award-winning business teacher and inspirational speaker Antonia Van Haeren; a book coaching and editing project with business entrepreneur and novelist James Harris for his exciting sci-fi book The Third Craft (published in early 2008); providing editing services to arts maven Jonathon Bancroft-Snell for his books on the legendary ceramic artists Walter Dexter and Ruth Gowdy McKinley; coaching the content of a dynamic and inspirational audio memoir by Christina Doyle (a 14-year survivor of one of the rarest forms of cancer); serving as content developer and editor for Kenneth D. Foster's newly revised bestselling book Ask and You Will Succeed (revised edition released by Wiley, May 2009); acting as development editor of a medical memoir with Chicago-based Dr. Jennifer Hasenyager Smith, MD; editor of the book, The Gift of Job Loss by Michael Froehls, PhD; editor of the book A Sense of the Sea, by Brian Whitehouse, PhD and numerous others. In addition, I am the author of hundreds of newspaper articles and feature magazine articles, covering a vast array of topics—including health care, environment, science, nature, the arts, popular culture, psychology, spirituality, and business. I have also been a teacher of English literature, the coordinator of media literacy projects, and a teacher in adult education. I am currently teaching a new creative writing workshop series entitled The Writer’s Eye-View. In the world of TV production as a scriptwriter and content producer for TV documentaries and educational video, some of my projects include a six-part documentary series, Dads Under Construction (about the process of men becoming first-time fathers); the full-length documentary, Circle of All Nations (about world-renowned native elder William Commanda, dubbed the “Dalai Lama of First Nations”); the feature documentary Autism – There’s Hope Out There (featuring ground-breaking medical research aimed at uncovering the cause of autism); the feature documentary Tomorrow Today, starring Sir Peter Ustinov, the Dalai Lama, Jane Goodall, Ervin Laszlo, and Arthur C. Clarke, with music by Peter Gabriel; a television series based on David Patchell-Evans’ book Living the Good Life; and the documentary Sea Without Tides (the story of the legendary fishermen of Lake Erie and the mystique of the Lake).

May 2011 – Cameraman, Scottish Rally Championships, BBC 2 •?Cameraman for the BBC 2 coverage of the SRC, produced by Demus Productions. April 2011 - Event Filmer, Vans Shoe Co. •?A one day competition held at Caringorm Mountain in Scotland. March 2011 - Head Filmer & Editor, SoulSports ltd. •?I was employed as head filmer and editor for The Brits, a week long extreme sports festival held in Laax, Switzerland. My duties were to film and edit each day's events and produce a 3-5 minute film with 24 hours. December 2009 - Present: In-house filmer and editor for Sno!Zone Scotland. •???have been taken on on a freelance basis to film, edit and produce all promotional material on behalf of the facility. This includes internet based advertising, promo shorts and event coverage. July 2005 – Present: Editor, Cameraman & Producer, WhiteSpace Productions • A snowboard film production collective with 6 previous releases 1. “WhiteSpace Presents…” (2006) Production run of 20,000 copies. Released on front cover of Snowboard UK (UK’s largest circulating snow sports publication) 2. “Jibberish” (2007) Released through Method.TV, Europe’s most popular snowboard dedicated website with membership of over 80,000. Over 5,000 downloads on the first day alone. 3. “Fists of Glory” (2008) Entry into the Oakley Jib-Vid. Europe-wide snowboard filmmaking competition, teams of 3 given 26 hours to film, edit and produce a 2-minute short film. Was awarded 11th place. 4. “Our Mountain Story” (2008) Entry into the prestigious Mountain Stories competition, a UK wide competition presented by Urb-Orbis & The Snowboard Asylum (the UK’s largest chain of snowboard stores). Was awarded “Best Season Story” prize. An FOC release, available at all Snowboard Asylum outlets with a production run of 100,000 copies. 5. “Snowbombing-Behind the Scenes” (2009). A behind-the-scenes POV film commissioned by Outgoing Ski ltd., the company behind the Snowbombing music festival. As 2009 was the 10th anniversary, the production team decided they would like a record of what they do to make the festival happen. I was given a vague brief and allowed to use my own discretion to produce an 18-minute film with a turnaround time of less than 4 weeks. 6. “Get Yer Boots On” (2010). This project was farther reaching than any of the previous as it featured riding from snowboarders from across the UK, rather than just the WhiteSpace crew specifically. A much harder project as not all filming was done by me and so to work with other peoples shots, filmed in a different style, and try to make the whole thing blend together and flow properly was definitely my biggest challenge so far. The film was released throught the TSA website and has had over 12,000 downloads to date. •?I have a working knowledge of the Canon XM2, XL1s, 5DmkII, 7D, 550D and the Sony Z1, Z5, Z7 • All post-production used Adobe Creative Suite. • As part of only a 2 man filming crew, it was my responsibility for post-production; capturing, choosing shots, assembling footage (involves a large degree of quality control) and production design, (graphics, moving images etc.) • With the largest production Jibberish, I was in charge of liasing with the sponsors to discuss the design of their advertising, and overall production. • As with almost all winter sport productions, November is the time of year to release, so being able to produce a progressive and fresh looking piece within 6 months of completing filming takes a huge amount of dedication and self-management. The snowboarding world can be extremely fickle and so the quality control needed to produce a film of merit must be very high. • Our second production, Jibberish, was released through a website and so had to be compressed into an online format, suitable for slow and fast streaming. The teasers we produced for our other films were also for the web. • Conditions in the mountains can change rapidly and so it can be difficult to keep the same settings for the images, relying on colour correction in post-production was necessary in many cases. I can confidently assist you with any Hardware issue such as Installing more Memory , speeding things up. Troubleshooting Network problems. I specialize in dealing with Viruses and possible hack attempts. My qualification is that i am currently attending a small school to attain both my CCNA Cisco certification and also Comptia A+. But i have many years personal experience in fixing various simple technical things. I really love to teach those who do not know how to use basic programs and leave the person able to do it themselves the next time around. This is my main goal. Also if you need any Web help ,such as setting up a small Apache server or configuring Linux i can help with that as well. One last word :technology is constantly inovating; therefore if i do not know something, i'm not afraid to ask and tell you that i am researching and figuring it out. I will not falsely advertise myself.

I am currently looking for work to improve my skills in Video Editing. I turned a great deal of interest in this field when I purchased a MacBook Pro. I have a imovie video editing program i have been using for about a year now. I started by using all of my family videos to make one final video with all of the events in one. Ever since then I wanted to know more about video editing and how it works. What I have to offer at this time is only one year of hands on experience in video editing and a few projects that I have completed using the tools that I have available. I understand that this may not be enough but you have to start somewhere and hopefully this website is the beginning of a successful career. Thank you for your time and enjoy!

I am a digital artist having over 10 years experience with the Adobe Creative Suite. Having an Associates Degree in Marketing Art and Design, I spent an additional year studying fine arts. I consider myself well versed in all aspects of design, completing projects ranging from logo design, to package design, but my passion is illustration, particularly unique and ground breaking sequential art. I am currently working on my first full color graphic novel which I plan to publish.
