I am very young into my pursuit of a second career as a writer and therefore I am lacking the experience to validate a portfolio or resume. I have written a couple of articles for a magazine and have helped people with their stand up routines and song writing. I am a trained chef by day and a father/gardener by night. I have extensive knowledge in food and beverage, health, sports and general business. I have been a general manager and or owner of restaurants for the last eight years and have experience in advertisements that work and don't. Thank you for looking my profile over and I hope to work with you soon.

With nearly fifteen years of experience, I have extensive knowledge of the process of writing, and a formidable 'scrapbook' of published material that I think speaks for itself. I am a seasoned and versatile feature writer, whose work has appeared in numerous publications throughout west-central Wisconsin, where I live, including: The Daily Press and The Lake Superior Sounder of Ashland, Volume One of Eau Claire, and Lake Superior Magazine of Duluth, Minnesota. Topics have ranged from gardening to movie reviews to mayoral interviews and everything in between. I am the recipient of the 2009 Bronze Award for 'Culture Feature' from the International Regional Magazine Association, as well as the 2006 Media Support of the Year Award from Wisconsin Special Olympics, for my series of athlete profiles. I've been consistently writing an on-line blog since 2008, and am currently shopping around a novel, samples of which also serve well representing my 'voice.' In the past, I have worked in both website design and radio, both experiences lending me a taste of the art of copywriting. With an attention to detail, strong work ethic and easy-going personality, I believe I'd be an ideal candidate for any project in need of a creative voice and/or competent editing hand. Please feel free to visit my blog: www.westboundthoughts.blogspot.com Tears sheets and other information available upon request. I look forward to hearing from you!

I am a freelance illustrator who currently lives in the historic section of Quincy, MA. Sketching and drawing is a passion since I was just a little guy. Yes, I play guitar and harmonica grooving to the blues. I love animation films, especially anything from Pixar and Disney. The use of color from these films has influenced my own color work. My Spanish upbringing also influenced my creativity, especially my Mom’s deserts. I enjoy making brownies with chocolate frosting and decorative Mexican icons. No salsa, please. When I am not drawing you will find me writing. I would like to create my own children's book which is one of my interests. I am always visiting the Boston Library children’s section for inspiration. So many fun books to read. After graduating from Massachusetts College of Art I started freelancing as a designer and gradually was offered more illustration commissions. I have worked for design studios, magazines, and children’s book publishers. I have been a digital instructor at Montserrat College of Art and Wentworth Institute of Technology. I enjoy relaxing playing my guitar and harmonica with the Harmony Gritz band. I have such a great time and it’s great therapy.
