As a designer, my work explores a considered and intuitive meeting of hand generated artwork and computer aided graphics. A quirky, illustrative and pared back approach is at the heart of my folio - exploring many different medias, such as textiles, paper, packaging and digital formats. I feel one of my strengths is being creatively adaptable and diverse depending on the brief I am faced with. I enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary way, exploring design beyond textiles. On a more technical note, digital manipulation and refinement of hand drawn elements are one of my strengths, with an excellent understanding of the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign). Education BA Textile Design @ RMIT University – 2008-2010 Majoring in Screen Print Bachelor of Design (Visual Communication) @ Monash University – 2005-2007 (uncompleted) Majoring in Illustration & Typography Brighton Bay School of Art Design & Photography – 2004 Certificate IV of Applied Design Presentation College Windsor – 1998-2003 Relevant Work Experience Megan Park Internship – Nov 2009-March 2010 Linen House – 2010 Freelance Design Work – 2003-Current Edenstar children’s wear label – freelance basis Various hospitality experience – 2003-Current Awards Linen House – 2nd prize RMIT industry project - 2009 GM Holden – RMIT industry project - 2009 Chosen to present conceptual ideas to GM Holden design team Participant in Australasian Student Design Awards 2010 – Design Institute of Australia ‘Conversations’ fair-trade moral fairground – RMIT industry project Work chosen for ‘Moral Fairground’ exhibition 2010 RMIT Collegiate Award - 2010 Craft Victoria – Scarf Festival – 2009

I am an at home mother as of the past year. I grew up in northeast alabama before entering the U.S. Army where I was early retired due to medical injuries and now reside in the northern mountians of Georgia with my family. I have always loved to write and have even had a few of my poems published when I was in high school. Writing is something that has always come naturally to me and while I have had no real training I am completly confident in my ability and skill in this area and am looking for exposure. I am willing to gaurantee satisfation on any jobs given to me at this time and will work for free unless employer is satisfied enough to use my work. I have been through many things on my walk of life and have met many people I feel that this combined with my love for writing will take me far if given the chance to prove myself and I am simply looking for people to give me that chance. My main intrest in work at this time is ghost writing however I would also love to write poetry for important events such as weddings, birthdays, ext. All I need is a brief discription of the event and the people involved. If you have any further questions or advice please message me.
