I'm a 60 year old married male, one daughtet starting grad school in the fall for creative writing college teaching. I work in retail.part of a merchandising team in New York City and Long Island supermarkets. I write humor as a hobby, with many posts on Eons.com. I occasionally submit my articles to local papers that sometimes get published. I take the real and male it surreal. My articles are based on my experiences.observations, family, fear,(arachiphobia),love of dining out, hatred of my job,and often just made up stories I come up with my unique imagination and creativity. I often add an Alfred Hitchcock to the end of what I write. My Eons fans actually look foward to my posts. My wife complains because I never get paid for anything I write. I have a Masters Degree in biology/education from in 1978, managed a Brooklyn family pharmacy for nearly 2 decades and now I'm on my knees moving Cocoa Puffs and Clorox on shelves and usually moving the shelves too. So give me a break, please !!!! Thanks. MARK

Temple Jackson has always been a lover of and music. Her very soul embodies the definition of what a true artist is. Because of her deep family roots in Detroit and Philadelphia, Temple became aware of her musical abilities at a young age. Temple has been singing, playing instruments and writing since the tender age of 5. She first learned how to play the flute as well as the piano by ear in her home Pentecostal Church in Decatur, GA. Temple recalls “The first song I ever played was the ‘Hill Street Blues Theme Song’. I remember my mother asking me, “Who taught you how to play that? “ And I answered “me”.” That’s how it’s always been and how it will forever be as long as I live.” Later, Temple learned to play the cello, string bass, and acoustic guitar that developed her love for all types of music. She continued her exposure to music by singing with several community groups like DeKalb Youth Choir, Bethesda Cathedral Choir, Divine Faith Ministries Praise Team, New Life Ministries and In God’s Company. Temple Jackson increases the beauty of life and love through her interpretation of music. Temple’s determination and uniqueness, has helped her develop passion for music and create an irresistible sound. Her multi-tasking talents for music and songwriting have brought her on stage at the album release party “A Rose that Grew from Concrete” By: Tupac Shakar. Afterwards, she went on to do artists’ consulting work for Red Zone Entertainment and Studio One Productions. Soon after, she continued her career by co-writing and performing on McDonald’s commercials in 2004 and a gospel album with Lion Share Music in 2006 with In God’s Company. Additionally, Temple toured Australia with In God’s Company in early 2007.

Writing is a part of my DNA, and I’m passionate about honing my skills at every opportunity. When I’m not actually writing, I’m researching as I see the two going hand and hand. My ultimate goal is self-publishing my book projects. In the meantime, I’m offering my professional writing skills with a promise to provide a work of superior quality, and one with which we both can be satisfied. Now let me provide some information regarding my relevant coursework training. I have taken extensive writing courses while a student at the University of Baltimore; namely, Writing and Graphics; Writing, Editing, and Publishing; Argument and Persuasion; Literary Forms and Techniques; Syntax, Semantics, and Style; and Screenwriting. All of these I have taken, along with over 12 credits of other English writing courses. Along with my Bachelor of Science in Corporate Communications (specializing in writing) are the following honors and awards: Dean's List; Distinguished Scholar; Meritorious Scholar; Outstanding Minority Student; Maryland State Scholar; and Sigma Tau Delta (English honor society). My works include: a book of poetry (self-published), a collection of short stories, framed and/or laminated sentiments for all occasions, songs, and humorous writings. Presently, I’m doing two things. Although my main focus is on completing my novel writing projects, I’m entering into the nonfiction world of copywriting. Activities have included Expressions Literary Club, Toastmasters International, and the Black Writers' Guild.

I love to read and never go anywhere without a book or a Nook. I read critically and I really couldn't not edit. Finding grammar errors, typos, and other errors in best selling novels is a hobby of mine. I love language, punctuation, and words. I notice shifts in language. I dislike an unnecessary passive. I have a flexible approach to language and an understanding of more than when one might employ a subjunctive. I do have a bachelor's degree, but it is not is in publishing, editing, or English. Many view this as an advantage because I have read, written, and studied a much broader palette of literature than the traditional English major studies. My style of editing and writing is clean and uncluttered. My experience encompasses many genres including True Crime, poetry, Christian fantasy, business reports, corporate annual reports, business plans, and financial statements.
