I worked as a graphic artist and designer, mostly print graphics, in NYC for 10+ years until the twin towers disaster. Then i focused on my music and self-produced 3 albums while continuing to do freelance art and design. I paint in oils mainly, except for the murals I've done, one 30' long, suing mixed media, mostly acrylic. I have recorded several artists and did the art for their CDs. I'm very good with typography thanks to my ad agency experience and have worked on Macs mostly, though singing and playing music has led me away from office environment (except for my home music/art studio). I love learning new art forms and have become multi-skilled over the years, sometimes doing light construction/restoration projects that needed an artistic touch to help fund my music recordings. I released my first official CD last year which is available for free or name your own price on bandcamp: http://steeelwoool.bandcamp.com/album/when-do-you-run My band name is Steeel Woool and my stage name is BetterBlue. I love to write, I've done one children's book and now am working on a book on spiritual healing and some short stories. My work is often solitary but i love creative collaborations. As i get more money coming in i want to hire an artist for a new comic book/graphic novel I've conceived and made the outline for. Proficient in PhotoShop, Illustrator, ProTools, and more. One recent project involved figuring out how to do multi-track recording for a visually impaired friend which was quite successful. We are hoping to make an instructional video to teach others how, because it is a break-through of sorts. I like to help other artists and am a good teacher. Now i am looking for work to fund some of my new projects, one being a compilation CD of artists in the North Jersey area (the Jersey Delta). Hopefully i can be of service or we can work together... God bless you all...everyone. Peace.....

Christopher Freeman studied Theatre Arts at Ryerson University and has appeared in nearly forty professional productions across Canada, on stage, film and TV. He spent three years with Theatre Animation, conducting and coordinating hundreds of acting workshops throughout Ontario, and nearly five years working as a private acting coach in Toronto and Vancouver. As a founding member of the Toronto based comedy troupe, “Shy One Horse”, he wrote, acted and directed numerous sketches, appearing in clubs and on television. He also produced their entry, Hollywood North for Toronto’s Fringe Festival. In 1999, after moving to Quebec, Chris launched The Actor’s Workshop, in the Eastern Townships. Designed to discover the specifics of acting in a safe pressure-free environment, he encourages moving away from performance clichés while exploring the motivation within. He also taught On-Camera courses, for two years, at the New Actor’s Workshop in Montreal. Chris was a project animator for a 29-week, provincially funded, community outreach program for youth-at-risk. The Arts addressed themes such as vandalism in Brome Missisquoi. He co-found storyland3, in 2001 and went on to produce and direct nine plays with them, including Broadway Valentine, Cinderella, After the Ball and Letters Home. In 2003, Chris received Service Canada funding to run The Rural Theatre Project, an eight-month program in production-based environment. As Creative Director, he developed five more project-based programs throughout southwest Quebec; each designed to empower young adults with life and employment skills while focussing on sustainable community development. Over his career he has been involved with dozens of fundraisers and benefits for various community organizations and NGO’s. He has served on several Boards including MUCS (Montreal Urban Community Sustainability) and the Knowlton Players. He developed a feasibility proposal for Renaissance Centre, a multimillion dollar complex to foster social economic development through culture and tourism, and was a member of a Research Lab at Concordia University on the social economy. Along with his dozen plays mounted, Chris has written several films including the short, Cooked, a Toronto Film Challenge finalist. He has an extensive background in promotion including three years of direct marketing and is currently developing several projects including a feature film and a television comedy series, entitled No Business. “As we learn to develop technique we in fact enhance creativity; for it is structure, in work, in art, mainly in life, that frees the imagination and enables us to truly fly.”

Olympic Trials Hopeful | 2010 - 2011 Sponsored by former employer FoodServiceWarehouse.com, I was able to train as a full time athlete in an effort to qualify for the 2012 Olympic Marathon Trials. My training involved running 80 - 100 miles a week, coupled with high intensity cross-training. Following this regimen, I set a personal record of 2:46 at the 2010 Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon and was targeting a sub-2:35 at Chicago of the same year when a calf muscle tear two months prior to the race effectively ended my professional running career. Copywriter | FoodServiceWareouse.com | 2007 - 2010 Researched and wrote hundreds of SEO-rich articles for the foodservice education center of this eCommerce startup. After launch, the Education Center drove 30% of all traffic to the site and is, to this day, the most comprehensive online resource for commercial foodservice education. • Within three months of launching the education center, the Health and Safety section, for which I was solely responsible, ranked in the Top 10 of Google organic results for the targeted term "restaurant health and safety". Within six months, it was ranked in the Top 5, and, to this day, an article I wrote for the H&S section holds a Top 3 spot. • Performed keyword research, analyzed site and article traffic and used the data to direct the development of new content. • Participated in a weekly roundtable with fellow writers to copyedit new articles, provide overall project feedback and brainstorm additional article ideas. • Helped develop style guides for product loading and an editorial guide outlining proper web writing techniques to help train future employees. • Interviewed dozens of local restaurant owners and wrote business profiles based on those interviews, adding greater depth to our education center.
