Most days were spent with her three brothers, splashing threw creeks, climbing trees and catching local snakes, turtles and insects etc. Early on she developed a loving fixation on reptiles, particularly snakes. Throughout her life she has continuously gained understanding and love for biodiversity and the harmony of science and art in relation to nature and animals. As an adult and illustrator, it is her personal goal to make science, nature and education as fun and beautiful as possible through her work. Brittany graduated from Maryland Institute College of Art in May 2011 and is now in their graduate program of Professional Studies. She has interned at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History in DC three times. This included the departments of Invertebrate Zoology, Botany, and Amphibians & Reptiles.
