Approximately half the time was spent on Wilderness log-out, in which I used hand tools including a 7’ crosscut saw to manually remove down trees to maintain Forest Service standard specifications. The position required unsupported back country hitches up to 8 days and daily foot travel of up to 11 miles under often harsh conditions.
