My subjects are people and/or scenes that I see as telling a story. They're actual recreations of what jumped out at me as a naturally great composition, and yes, I work from my own photographs. I'm always on the lookout for things that haven't already been "done to death"! My style has been compared to Hopper's, which I take as a great compliment. I've been doing portraits for many years,...

Salut! My name is Matt Christianson. I hail from Nappanee, Indiana. You've probably heard of it. It's know for being the longest named town with two letters of every letter that's in it and for exploiting the Amish culture for tourism. So yeah, we're kind of a big deal. Let's just say I can smell a pig from a mile away. In college I studied psychology while simultaneously being the head writer for our comedy skit show FNL. Long story short I got kicked out my senior year right before I got to host it because my ego got too big and I wrote an email to the director and producer outlining all the ideas they came up with that totally flopped in the shows. Ever since this devastating instance I shunned writing and just decided to write in private and pursue other options, but i'm back and I hope that people genuinely enjoy what I write!
