I am a writer and have been since childhood. My writing style, from my formative years to the present, has evolved from a basic yet functional one to an advanced style which possesses both a utilitarian quality and a strong, amiable voice. In regard to my education, I hold an Associate's Degree with a focus on History from Grand Rapids Community College. I am continuing my education at Grand Valley State University with a major in English. Currently, I write for and maintain a personal blog through Blogger.com, titled Random-Verbosity, and I am composing a novel which qualifies as a work of the Fantasy genre. My current and previous writing engagements, from most recent to earliest, include: -Random-Verbosity - a personal writing blog through Blogger on which I post personal pieces, review films and comic books, and compose commentaries on various media pieces for the Nerd subculture -Hollow Round of Skull - a Canadian short fiction zine in which two pieces of my short fiction were published. -Untap That Die - a self-published hobby gaming newsletter for the Grand Rapids, MI Hobby Gaming Community, which ran for three issues. -Things the Eye Has Seen - a self-published comic book zine which I wrote, illustrated, and in which I interviewed comic artist and writer Mike Allred (creator of Madman) and his wife and partner, colorist Laura Allred. -Display Magazine - a Grand Rapids Community College art and literature magazine which is composed of various pieces from members of the student body and is edited and assembled by faculty, including Grand Rapids, MI Poet Laureate David Cope. I have received an award for Best Short Fiction Piece from Grand Rapids Community College for a submission titled "Endings and Beginnings."
