I am an artist with lots of experience in different styles and mediums. I have soaked in lots of conceptual and compositional knowledge from working at a t-shirt print shop / custom art shop, designing, and I am currently working on my BFA degree in studio art. I have lots of exxperience with ink drawings, pencil drawings, colored pencil drawings, charcoal drawings, sculpting, ceramics, oil painting (pooling, layering, varying strokes and using pallette knifes), and even have some experience in carving. I have 2 years of production experience in screen printing. I tend to have more of an edgy style conceptually, and can also work a lot with vibrant colors, or minimal. I like to do experimental pieces and mixed media. I get my ideas from the way I see the world, and simply what naturally happens while I let loose drawing. I also have experience with photography, and photo editing.

Beginning his career at age 9 and becoming one of ASCAPS’s youngest members by 15, singer/songwriter/producer/entrepreneur Morgan Brown is no stranger to pop music and the music industry at large. Morgan was born June 5th, 1992 in Santa Monica California. Son of marketing extraordinaire Allan Brown (Got Milk, Beanie Babies, McDonalds Happy Meal) and Kelly Brown a fashion industry veteran (The California Mart) and co-founder of celebrity spa hotspot l.a. Vie L’orange. At a very young age Morgan knew he wanted to be in the entertainment industry. Morgan was then given his first guitar by family friend Jeffery Stein an award winning music video director (Billy Idol, The Cars and Tom Petty). During his first recital he garnered attention from Burt Bacharach, who was amazed at the “incredible talent in this little kid”. By age 11, Morgan was flying to Louisiana at the request of Master P’s “Beats By The Pound” producer Carlos Stephens. Morgan began production on his record with Carlos Stephens and started to co-write songs with Stephens and his team of writers and producers. In 2005, Morgan began working with Rap/Rock group Fuyzion NDX, and started collaborating with former Method’s of Mayhem lead singer TiLo. He then was approached to be featured artist on Rock N’ Write, an educational program where major artists presented songs and lesson plans to encourage and promote reading and writing through music in public schools throughout the United States. Even though artists such as Nick Lachey and Cheyanne Kimball were on the program, Morgan’s song, “I’m Just Me,” was the most downloaded song for three consecutive months, receiving over 10,000 downloads. Later that year, Morgan began working with Ron Nevison (Heart, Ozzy Osbourne, Kiss) and Kim Bullard (Poco) on a project for the Lohan family writing a song entitled “The Promise”, which was to be the theme song for their reality show, but never aired due to family matters. Later that year, Morgan began studying with celebrity vocal coach Eric Vetro whom took Morgan to a new level of vocal ability. In late 2006, Morgan started collaborating on a solo album project with super producer/songwriter, Andreas Carlsson (Bon Jovi, Celine Dion, N’Sync, Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, Katy Perry) and his team in Sweden. Then in early 2007, Morgan was asked to become the lead singer and songwriter for the rock band Her Alibye. While in Her Alibye, Morgan appeared on the 2007 Vans “Warped Tour,” and played venues such as The House of Blues, The Whiskey, and The Viper Room. Morgan left the band to pursue other interests and got right back to the studio to resume songwriting and continue to build his production house, B-Star music. In 2008 Morgan co founded Pickup Music with classmate Gabe Kanengiser. Pickup music managed, produced, developed, and booked shows for young talent all over Los Angeles. They worked with legendary Hollywood venues such as The Whisky A Go-Go, Troubadour and The Knitting Factory. Pickup Music worked to assist in the development of a young artist’s talent and journey as a performer; the goal was to breed pop music stars. The two ran the company with a team of young professionals all under the age of 19, all experienced in many areas of the industry. While running Pickup Music the team was approached by a Los Angeles production company to film a reality show unveiling the lives of these young entrepreneurs. In 2010 Morgan, resigned from Pickup Music to join forces with Grammy nominated songwriter Ace Young (Daughtry, American Idol) and brother, Ryan Young. He worked on several projects with their production company Hi Energy Entertainment. In 2011 Morgan began to work with Mahvrick Networks on internet based music content marketing projects as well as joining 1DGS LLC, working on brand management for high profile clients such as, Jake Brown (XGAMES) and Street Bike Tommy (NITRO CIRCUS). Later on the same year he joined forces with Lucas Spry to form his fourth music production company start up ‘The Loft Music.’ Some of the most respected songwriters and producers have labeled Morgan, “A young writer, and music industry visionary years beyond his time”.

I love what I do and am very motivated to succeed, which is why I have been a successful professional freelance proofreader, editor and copy editor for 20 years. Because of my background in English skills, I am highly organized and detail-oriented in my work for the advertising industry, publishing industry, journalism and the field of education. My favorite work challenge was being hired to revitalize a poorly received and error-riddled university yearbook and newspaper. I trained the students on proofing for style, spelling, grammar and spelling and helped mold both into award-winning publications within a year. I conceived, developed and created the first proofreading/editing courses for a private university. In addition, I have edited hundreds of manuscripts—both fiction and nonfiction—mentored many writers into publication at major publishing houses (Simon & Schuster, Avon, Ballantine). I enjoy editing and have developed strong interpersonal skills through coaching students and dealing with administrators and my freelance clients. I’ve worked extensively with MS Word (Track Changes), as well as Adobe Acrobat—also the Chicago Manual of Style, AP, and MLA formats. I’ve done a great deal of online editing, copy editing and proofreading; I have an eagle eye for spotting mistakes—whether in syntax, word choice, typographics, spelling or grammar. As my own bestselling novel taught me, I can do just about anything I put my mind and passion to. •Genre Fiction •Nonfiction Books •Literary Fiction •Memoirs •Newspaper Articles •Short Fiction •College Papers •Marketing Pieces •Query Letters PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Freelance Editor Self-employed 1985-Present • Editing, copy editing, proofreading, consulting, mentoring Guided several writers to publication Senior Editor A-1 Editing Service 2007-Present • Editing, copy editing, writing novels and narrative nonfiction Private Writing Coach Self Employed 2006-Present •Mentored many writers to publication • Substantive editing • Proofreading • Copy Editing • For dissertations, articles, class synopses • For fiction: characterization, plot, dialogue, pacing, copy editing, proofreading Creative Writing Teacher University of CA, Riverside Extension 1982-present Fiction Workshop (Works in Progress): fall 2006, spring & summer 2007, winter 2008 Journalism Professor California Baptist University: 9/2006-6/2007 • Newspaper & yearbook production: Guided to award-winning publications • Proofreading, grammar, punctuation • Editing • Writing Skills • Copy editing • Teaching Author Self-employed 1980-present • 8 published full length works of fiction Editor & Consultant Self-employed 1980-present • Edited manuscripts for publication • Mentored writers •Proficient in MS Word (track changes), Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint, Excel, Chicago Manual of Style, MLA and AP style. •Home Office Includes: OSX, Fax, Copier, High Speed Internet, and Telephone. In my youth, before I acquired the ability to communicate my most complex thoughts into words, I discovered pictures gave artists a platform to document history as well as a chance to share one's perspectives with the world. My curiosity ran wild with joy as I studied random drawings from pictures depicted in children's books. Therefore, with a desire to create pictures and with available resources I could find from my home and school library, I began teaching myself to draw; and I have been drawing ever since. Prior to entering high school, I received visual arts training with the Louisville Visual Arts Association for a year. In addition, I won first place among the Jefferson County middle school division for Great America Smokeout Poster Contest, which theme title is Smoker's Don't Win in the Game of Life. Several years later, I won my second first place poster contest among the Jefferson County high school division for JCTA's theme title: Education The Dream of a Lifetime. I received additional traditional visual arts training when I attended University of Louisville. The elements I enjoy mostly in regards to producing artistic imagery are implementing the creative process, communicating a message that will make an impact and observing the effects my work has on the viewers.
