I am an artist. I am a fine-arts major at the University of North Florida. I draw and paint traditionally and digitally. I am familiar with comic art and anime, concept, album cover art, character design, and environment based on reference material to ensure accuracy of shadow, light source and focal point. My process is planning thumbnails using paper and pencil , scanning into computer, and then using illustrator to ink digitally if needed and lastly using photoshop to color. I require 50% non-refundable payment to schedule the art project. The balance is due on the day of satisfactory completion . If there is additional work added to the project during the illustration, a separate quote will be proposed and paid in full prior to adding that additional work.

I work from home at Krakeel River in the Langkloof as an artist, art teacher, book illustrator, cartoonist and language practitioner. I have a BA degree (Languages) and a commercial art diploma and took private art lessons in watercolour, acrylic and commercial art, but invaluable constructive feedback from fellow-artists, commissioned copying of the works of the old masters, lots of portrait work, constant experimenting, and teaching art as a school subject constitute the bigger part of my growth and learning as an artist. I paint subjects ranging from realistic landscapes, still lives, seascapes and portraits to dreamscapes and imaginary scenes. Portraits are done in oils, pastels, pencil or charcoal, from life or from photographs; wildlife from photographs in conjunction with a fellow-artist and photographer. I also do commissioned copies of paintings of the Old Masters, such as Klimt, Gainsborough and Waterhouse. Sculpture includes ceramics and papier maché, and relief works comprising ceramics, found materials, plastic, hardware products and materials, and natural materials.
