I grew up in South Africa, Kenya and France and graduated in 2013 from the University for the Creative Arts in Maidstone, England with a BA (Hons) Degree in Illustration.Currently I live in Bielefeld, Germany, and am focusing on my freelance career in children’s book illustration but also doing the odd commission in graphic design, portrait art, wall decorating, board game design and many more, I always love trying out new things and expanding my skills. I draw a lot of inspiration from my international background and my numerous travels and am especially fascinated by mythology and folktales from around the world, always striving to tell old stories in a new way in my pictures. To create my illustrations I work in a range of media, from coloured pencils and water colours for a traditional look to collage and paint-splashing for more experimental projects. Uniting my all my work, however, is a love for detailed patterns and rich texture and colours and you are guaranteed to receive my 100% dedication for every project I take on.
