Hello! I’m Derrick and I am the Founder and Executive Producer of Shelby Row Productions LCC. It is my passion to produce good quality audio for podcast audiences to listen to. I have been editing audio for the last 20 years; beginning in commercial radio, moving into music production, and then into podcast editing. I have personally launched over a dozen podcasts and continue to edit all of them. They cover topics such as: the life of a professional Aerialist in the Cirque du Soleil, the tabletop and hospitality industry, education, professional freelancing, meditation, and world traveling. I managed the staff of 15 producers and on-air talent during my time as Assistant Manager for the Portland Radio Group. I scheduled the commercial rotation, and produced the live local news radio show for 560 WGAN, Portland, ME. In 2003 I made a lateral move and took a position as the Assistant Production Manager. This allowed me to be closely involved in the creative process and production of commercials for radio airplay. During my 17 years as a working musician, I have toured across the country and recorded and produced music in the studio. I am currently touring with an act out of Nashville called McKenzies Mill. I give private bass lessons and belong to a web-based music lesson platform called TakeLessons.com, and, run my own bass instructional YouTube channel at derrickmichaud.com/youtube. If you’re interested in tapping into my expertise in any of these areas, send me a message and let’s chat! I'd love to help you be successful and expand your business!
