I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 2008 with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts: Painting. My main concentration in painting has been in the abstract expressionistic vein, in which I focus on composition and color relation. I do also enjoy representational painting. I love to draw, and tend to specialize currently in high-contrast female portraits and profiles. I also work in mixed media, and paper collage. My favorite tools are any kind of paint, ink and pens, art markers, and scrap paper. Orange, blue, and black are my favorite colors to work in. I enjoy bright, bold colors, and odd shapes and lines. Though I know my way around a ruler, I am not a huge fan of straight lines, and prefer a little whimsy in my work.
