I recently graduated from Kendall College of Art & Design as a Steelcase Scholar, earning a Bachelors of Fine Arts with a focus on Interior Design. I have had the pleasure of having an internship at Kindel Furniture Company which was both interesting and educational. Also while at Kendall I took electives in Metals and Jewelry Design which I quickly learned was meticulous, time consuming and rewarding. I was also requested to tutor students on the subjects of Materials and 3d Design. Additionally, I hold an Associates Degree in Applied Science with an Architectural Technology focus from Ferris State University which I am excited to combine with my developing design skills. I became a veteran at the age of 19 when I was deployed to Iraq with the 1073rd Maintenance Company. I was a diesel mechanic in the Army National Guard but I was also educated on HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) and SAMS-E (Standard Army Maintenance System – Enhanced). While attending Kendall, I worked as VA Representative and assisted students with their military education benefits. This was rewarding and helped develop my management skills. I am interested in all aspects of design, have a passion for learning and always love a good challenge. I am excited for the opportunities that await, the places they will take me and the people I will meet.
