This is my entry for the 'Ghost of Gone Birds ' Exhibition Swansea 2013. My painting is inspired by the Stephen Island wren, a species of bird discovered in 1894 on Stephens Island, New Zealand. By the end of 1894 this little bird was extinct killed by the cat that belonged to the light house keeper.
