The work looks great on... got a question on your sculpts are you digitizing editing the point cloud and then CNCing the work?

The Sailor Malan bust was done in grey plastaline in 1994. Recently I have been sculpting everything in digital. I create an STL or a IGES fo r both 3d print and CNC cad. I work in Geomagic Freeform. Skype: Tim Barry/sculptorwanted/Bostom, Ma

See, in Geomagic Freeform it is much easier to edit surfaces and meshes once it is converted to Voxels.

Nice....I guess the days of putting hand to clay on small pieces is coming to a close....LOL
I just recently used sketchup to design a series of acanthus leave spigots tiles. Had to use a bubble spline mesh plugin's and rolled my own interface for it. It's a good thing I have masters in Computer Graphics (that's programming not using the stuff LOL). sent it to be milled in high density foam It took over 20 hours of carving fo each piece and then they still needed cleanup. U can not image how long and the cost it would have been to do them in STL. I got a quote to do 30 busts only 5 inches tall and they wanted 700 a piece to do the stl printing....
