You've caught that feeling of a "first snow" - when you can smell that wet-wool smell in the air that only comes from the first snowfall of a season, when the air is till heavy laden with water vapor. When it could have just as easily turned into rain. Nice subtle palette too. it would have been easy to push for more intense colors in your subject but you kept her subdued - in the same way the tan/grey coloring of the deer is subdued and provides camouflage. This composition almost tells a story itself. The girl and the deer are both blending in with the background. Both pausing. Are hunters off in the background tracking the deer? Are they tracking the girl? Is the girl blocking an escape route for the deer? Nice stuff!

Thank you David. I love this piece. I was going for the silence you can only get after a night's snowfall. When the world teeters on the edge of an awakening. I am really glad that you like it.
