Hey Janet,
To me, Midas was a big fish in a small pond. Outside the pond no one knew who he was. I thought the point of your comment about not knowing his first name reflected that. Fame is a relative truth. Even if folks don't know who you are but the success of your (our) work demands that people do know who you are then you've got to keep pitching to get known. And let's not forget... it's a labour of love.

Thanks Joshua! Not at all. The blending technique with colored pencil is basically a different stroke for every color, I do not over lap in shading as I do with graphite. And also I try not to over work the surface and break the hair on the paper....I hope this works for you, your skill is sensitive and great....cheers

Indeed it is a nice pose, I think that will make it even a more valuable piece, I consider you are an ARTIST. a lot of us can draw and paint extremely well but unfortunately it doesn't make us quite Artists, due to the lacking of imagination,
I think a great imagination factor will make the difference. To create something new. He, He..
